Damn.
Wish the best for him. Dude had one the most impressive rookie years I have ever seen in Indy.

It is worth noting that paraplegic doesn’t necessarily mean full loss of control of the legs. Paraplegia describes an impairment of the motor or sensory systems and doesn’t always mean full paralysis and loss of sensory input. While Robert certainly isn’t capable of usefully moving his legs in any way he has shown that he is able to make small movements so there is still some kind of connection between his brain and the nerves in his leg . However unlikely it is there is a very small possibility that he may one day have some use of his legs again.
Either way I doubt we will never see him in a car again. I give him 3 months after getting home before he has a simulator rigged up with hand controls and I bet he will be back in a real car within a few years . Personally I would love to see a Wickens-Zanardi-Monger trio at Le Mans one day.
